Alma 1:27

and they did impart of their substance every man according to that which he had, to the poor, and the needy, and the sick, and the afflicted; and they did not wear costly apparel, yet they were neat and comely:

They shared what they had with the poor, the needy, the sick, and those having hard times. Everyone gave what they could. They did not wear fancy clothes. But they were clean and looked nice.

They shared what they had—each person giving according to what they owned—to help the poor, needy, sick, and suffering. They didn’t wear expensive clothes, but they dressed neatly and appropriately.
