4 Nephi 1:6

And thus did the thirty and eighth year pass away, and also the thirty and ninth, and the forty and first, and the forty and second; yea, even until forty and nine years had passed away, and also the fifty and first, and the fifty and second; yea, and even until fifty and nine years had passed away;

The 38th year passed. Then the 39th, 41st, and 42nd years passed. Even the 49th, 51st, and 52nd years passed. Even 59 years had passed.

Year after year slipped by—the 38th, 39th, 41st, 42nd, all the way through the 49th year, then the 51st and 52nd, until 59 years had passed since Christ’s coming.
