3 Nephi 28:1

And it came to pass when Jesus had said these words, he spake unto his disciples, one by one, saying unto them, What is it that ye desire of me, after that I am gone to the Father?

When Jesus had said these words, he spoke to his disciples one by one. He asked them, “What do you want from me after I go back to the Father?”

After Jesus said these things, he spoke to his disciples one at a time, asking each one, “What do you want from me before I return to the Father?”
