3 Nephi 16:9

and because of the mercies of the Father unto the Gentiles, and also the judgements of the Father upon my people, which are of the house of Israel, verily, verily, I say unto you, That after all this, and I have caused my people which are of the house of Israel, to be smitten, and to be afflicted, and to be slain, and to be cast out from among them, and to become hated by them, and to become a hiss and a by-word among them.

The Father was kind to the non-Jewish people. But he judged my people from Israel. I tell you the truth: After all this, I caused my people from Israel to be hit and to have hard times and to be killed. They were forced out. They became hated. People made fun of them and said bad things about them.

The Father has shown mercy to the Gentiles. He’s also brought judgment on my people, the house of Israel. I’m telling you the truth: after all this—after my people have been struck down, afflicted, killed, driven out, hated, mocked, and despised—
