2 Nephi 9:47

But behold, my brethren, is it expedient that I should awake you to an awful reality of these things? Would I harrow up your souls, if your minds were pure? Would I be plain unto you according to the plainness of the truth, if ye were freed from sin?

But my brothers and sisters, is it important that I wake you up to these terrible real things? Would I hurt your souls if your minds were clean? Would I be clear with you like the truth is clear if you were free from sin?

But my friends, do I really need to wake you up to this harsh reality? Would I trouble your souls if your minds were pure? Would I be this blunt with you if you were free from sin?
