2 Nephi 32:7

And now I, Nephi, cannot say more: the spirit stoppeth mine utterance, and I am left to mourn because of the unbelief, and the wickedness, and the ignorance, and the stiff-neckedness of men: for they will not search knowledge, nor understand great knowledge, when it is given unto them in plainness, even as plain as word can be.

I can’t say any more. The Spirit stops me from speaking. I’m sad because people don’t believe. They are wicked, they don’t know much, and they are stubborn. They won’t search for knowledge. They don’t understand great knowledge when it’s given to them clearly. They don’t understand even when it’s as clear as words can be.

I, Nephi, can’t say any more. The Spirit stops me. All I can do now is grieve—because of people’s unbelief, wickedness, ignorance, and stubbornness. They refuse to seek knowledge. Even when great truths are given to them in the plainest possible language, they still don’t understand.
