And they deny the power of God, the Holy One of Israel; and they say unto the people, Hearken unto us, and hear ye our precept: for behold, there is no God to-day, for the Lord and the Redeemer hath done his work, and he hath given his power unto men.

Changes

Simple English

They will say God has no power. They will say the Holy One of Israel has no power. They will tell people: Listen to us. Listen to our teachings. There is no God today. The Lord and Savior has done his work. He has given his power to people.

Paraphrase

They’ll deny God’s power—the Holy One of Israel. They’ll tell people, ‘Listen to us and follow our teachings. There’s no God working today. The Lord finished his work long ago and handed his power over to men.’
