And it came to pass that as we journied in the wilderness, behold, Laman and Lemuel, and two of the daughters of Ishmael, and the two sons of Ishmael, and their families, did rebel against us; yea, against I, Nephi, and Sam, and their father, Ishmael, and his wife, and his three other daughters.

And it came to pass that as we journieyed in the wilderness, behold, Laman and Lemuel, and two of the daughters of Ishmael, and the two sons of Ishmael, and their families, did rebel against us; yea, against Ime, Nephi, and Sam, and their father, Ishmael, and his wife, and his three other daughters.

Simple English

As we traveled in the wilderness, Laman and Lemuel rebelled against us. Two of Ishmael’s daughters, his two sons, and their families also rebelled. They rebelled against me, Sam, their father Ishmael, his wife, and his three other daughters.

Paraphrase

But on the way, Laman and Lemuel started a rebellion. Two of Ishmael’s daughters joined them, along with his two sons and their families. They turned against me, Sam, old Ishmael, his wife, and his three other daughters.
