1 Nephi 19:4

wherefore, I, Nephi, did make a record upon the other plates, which gives an account, or which gives a greater account, of the wars, and contentions, and destructions of my people. And this have I done, and commanded my people that they should do, after that I was gone, and that these plates should be handed down from one generation to another, or from one prophet to another, until further commandments of the Lord.

So I made a record on the other plates that tells more about the wars, fighting, and destruction of my people. I have done this and told my people to keep doing it after I die. These plates should be passed down from parent to child and from prophet to prophet until the Lord gives other commands.

So I made another record on the other plates that tells more about our wars, conflicts, and disasters. I commanded my people to continue this record after I’m gone, passing these plates from generation to generation, from prophet to prophet, until the Lord gives new instructions.
