1 Nephi 19:24

Wherefore, I spake unto them, saying: Hear ye the words of the prophet, ye which are a remnant of the House of Israel, a branch of which have been broken off; hear ye the words of the prophet, which was written unto all the House of Israel, and liken it unto yourselves, that ye may have hope as well as your brethren, from whom ye have been broken off. For after this manner hath the prophet written:

So I spoke to them and said: Listen to the prophet’s words. You are part of the people of Israel. You are like a branch that has been broken off. Listen to the prophet’s words. He wrote to all the people of Israel. Apply it to yourselves so you can have hope like your brothers who you were separated from. This is how the prophet wrote:

So I said to them: “Listen to the prophet’s words. You’re a remnant of Israel’s house, a branch broken off. Listen to what the prophet wrote for all of Israel and apply it to yourselves. Then you can have hope like your relatives you’ve been separated from. Here’s what the prophet wrote:”
