And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Thou shalt construct a ship, after the manner which I shall shew thee, that I may carry thy people across these waters.

Simple English

The Lord spoke to me and said: “You will build a ship the way I show you. I will use it to carry your people across these waters.”

Paraphrase

The Lord told me: “You’re going to build a ship according to my design. I’ll use it to carry your people across these waters.”
