wherefore, the Lord commanded my father that he should depart into the wilderness; and the Jews also sought to take away his life; yea, and ye also have sought to take away his life; wherefore, ye are murderers in your hearts, and ye are like unto they:

Simple English

So the Lord commanded my father to leave into the wilderness. The Jews also tried to kill him. You also have tried to kill him. So you are murderers in your hearts. You are just like them.

Paraphrase

“That’s why the Lord commanded our father to leave for the wilderness. The Jews wanted to kill him, and you’ve wanted to kill him too. You’re murderers in your hearts, just like them.”
