Mosiah 7:20

And again: That same God hath brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem, and hath kept and preserved his people, even until now. And behold, it is because of our iniquities and abominations, that has brought us into bondage.

“That same God brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem. He has kept and saved his people until now. We are slaves because of our sins and bad things we have done.”

“And that same God brought our ancestors out of Jerusalem and has protected his people right up to now. But listen—we’re in slavery because of our own sins and disgusting choices.”
