I say unto you, Wo be unto that man, for his substance shall perish with him; and now, I say these things unto those which are rich, as pertaining to the things of this world.

Simple English

“I say to you: How terrible it will be for that person! His things will be destroyed with him. I say this to rich people who have many things in this world.”

Paraphrase

I’m telling you: That person will lose everything. I’m saying this to those of you who are rich in this world’s goods.
