Mosiah 24:7

And thus the Lamanites began to increase in riches, and began to trade one with another, and wax great, and began to be a cunning and a wise people, as to the wisdom of the world; yea, a very cunning people; delighting in all manner of wickedness and plunder, except it were among their own brethren.

The Lamanites started to get rich. They began to trade with each other. They became great. They became smart in the ways of the world. They were very clever people. They enjoyed doing all kinds of bad things and stealing. But they didn’t steal from each other.

So the Lamanites grew wealthy. They traded with each other and became prosperous. They grew shrewd and clever in worldly ways—very cunning. They took pleasure in all kinds of evil and robbery, except when it came to their own people.
