Mosiah 22:16

and after they had pursued them two days, they could no longer follow their tracks; therefore they were lost in the wilderness.

After following them for two days, they could not find their tracks anymore. So they got lost in the wilderness.

After two days of pursuit, they lost the trail. They wandered lost in the wilderness.
