Mosiah 21:26

Nevertheless they did find a land which had been peopled; yea, a land which was covered with dry bones; yea, a land which had been peopled, and which had been destroyed; and they having supposed it to be the land of Zarahemla, returned to the land of Nephi, having arrived in the borders of the land not many days before the coming of Ammon.

But they did find a land where people had lived. It was a land covered with dry bones. It was a land where people had lived and been destroyed. They thought it was the land of Zarahemla. They went back to the land of Nephi. They arrived not many days before Ammon came.

But they did find a land that had once been populated—a land covered with dry bones, a land that had been destroyed. Thinking it was Zarahemla, they returned to the land of Nephi, arriving just days before Ammon showed up.
