Mosiah 21:10

Now there were a great many widows in the land; and they did cry mightily from day to day, for a great fear of the Lamanites had come upon them.

There were many widows in the land. They cried loudly every day because they were very afraid of the Lamanites.

There were so many widows now in the land. Day after day they cried out in terror of the Lamanites.
