And it came to pass that when the Lamanites had come up, that the people of Limhi began to fall upon them from their waiting places, and began to slay them.

When the Lamanites came, Limhi’s people jumped out of their hiding places. They began to kill them.

When the Lamanites arrived, Limhi’s people burst from their hiding places and attacked.
