Mosiah 20:4

And having tarried in the wilderness, and having discovered the daughters of the Lamanites, they laid and watched them;

They stayed in the wilderness. They saw the daughters of the Lamanites. They hid and watched them.

While hiding in the wilderness, they discovered where the Lamanite women gathered. They watched and waited.
