Mosiah 18:1

And now it came to pass that Alma, who had fled from the servants of king Noah, repented of his sins and iniquities, and went about privately among the people, and began to teach the words of Abinadi;

Alma ran away from King Noah’s servants. He was sorry for his sins. He went to the people in secret and began to teach what Abinadi had said.

Alma had escaped from King Noah’s guards, and his heart was changed. He turned away from everything he’d done wrong and began moving quietly through the villages, teaching what Abinadi had said.
