But he fled from before them, and hid himself, that they found him not. And he, being concealed for many days, did write all the words which Abinadi had spoken.

But Alma ran away from them and hid. They could not find him. He stayed hidden for many days. During that time, he wrote down all the words Abinadi had said.

But Alma escaped and went into hiding. For many days, while concealed, he wrote down everything Abinadi had taught.
