Changes

aAnd thus the flesh becoming subject to the Spirit, or the Son to the Father, being one God, suffereth temptation, and yieldeth not to the temptation, but suffereth himself to be mocked, and scourged, and cast out, and disowned by his people.

Simple English

His human body will follow the Spirit. The Son will follow the Father. They are one God. He will be tempted but will not give in. He will let people make fun of him, beat him, throw him out, and reject him.

Paraphrase

“When his mortal body submits to the Spirit—when the Son yields to the Father—he remains one God. He will face temptation but never give in. Instead, he’ll let himself be mocked, beaten, thrown out, and rejected by his own people.
