And again: They were wroth with him, when they had arriven to the promised land, because they said that he had taken the ruling of the people out of their hands; and they sought to kill him.

Simple English

They were angry when they got to the promised land. They said Nephi took control of the people away from them. They tried to kill him.

Paraphrase

And when they reached the promised land, they got even angrier. They said Nephi had stolen their right to rule the people, and they tried to kill him.
