Pray for them, my son, that repentance may come unto them. But behold, I fear lest the spirit hath ceased striving with them; and in this part of the land they are also seeking to put down all power and authority, which cometh from God; and they are denying the Holy Ghost.

Simple English

Pray for them, my son. Pray that they will turn from their sins. But I’m scared that the Spirit has stopped trying to help them. In this part of the land they are trying to get rid of all power and authority that comes from God. They are rejecting the Holy Spirit.

Paraphrase

“Pray for them, son. Pray that they’ll turn back. But I’m afraid the Spirit has stopped trying to reach them. In this part of the land they’re trying to tear down every authority that comes from God. They’re denying the Holy Spirit.”
