and if ye have no hope, ye must needs be in despair; and despair cometh because of iniquity.

Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

aAnd if ye have no hope, ye must needs be in despair; and despair cometh because of iniquity.

If you have no hope, you must be without hope and sad. Being without hope comes because of doing wrong.

Without hope, you’re left in despair. And despair comes from sin.
