Mormon 8:3

and my father also was killed by them; and I, even I remaineth alone to write the sad tale of the destruction of my people. But behold, they are gone, and I fulfil the commandment of my father. And whether they will slay me, I know not;

The Lamanites killed my father too. I am the only one left to write the sad story about how my people were destroyed. They are gone. I will do what my father told me to do. I don’t know if they will kill me too.

My father was killed too. I’m the only one left to write this heartbreaking story of my people’s destruction. They’re all gone now, and I’m doing what my father commanded. I don’t know if the Lamanites will find and kill me.
