Mormon 3:21

and also that ye may believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which ye shall have among you; and also that the Jews, the covenant people of the Lord, shall have other witness besides that which they saw and heard, that Jesus, whom they slew, was the very Christ, and the very God;

I am also writing so you will believe the good news of Jesus Christ that you will have with you. I want the Jewish people, the Lord’s chosen people, to have another witness besides what they saw and heard. Jesus, the one they killed, was the Christ. He was God.

I write so you’ll believe the gospel of Jesus Christ that will come to you. I write so the Jews—the Lord’s covenant people—will have proof beyond what they saw and heard, that Jesus, whom they killed, was the Christ, the very God.
