Mormon 3:12

Behold, I had led them, notwithstanding their wickedness, I had lead them many times to battle, and had loved them, according to the love of God which was in me, with all my heart; and my soul had been poured out in prayer unto my God all the day long, for them; nevertheless, it was without faith, because of the hardness of their hearts.

I had led them many times to battle, even though they were wicked. I had loved them with all my heart, the same way God loved me. I prayed to God for them all day long. But my prayers did not work because their hearts were hard.

I had led them into battle many times despite their evil ways. I had loved them with all my heart—the kind of love God put in me. I spent entire days praying for them. But my prayers lacked faith, because their hearts were so hard.
