Mormon 1:2

And about the time that Ammaron hid up the records unto the Lord, he came unto me, (I being about ten years of age; and I began to be learned somewhat after the manner of the learning of my people,) and Ammaron saith unto me, I perceive that thou art a sober child, and art quick to observe;

Around the time Ammaron hid the records, he came to me. I was about ten years old and had started learning the way my people learned. Ammaron said to me: I can see that you are a serious child. You pay attention to things.

When I was about ten years old, just starting to learn the ways of my people, Ammaron came to me. He’d just hidden away the sacred records to keep them safe. He said to me, “I can see you’re a serious kid. You notice things.”
