And it came to pass that there were sorceries, and witchcrafts, and magics: and the power of the evil one was wrought upon all the face of the land, even unto the fulfilling of all the words of Abinadi, and also Samuel the Lamanite.

There was magic and witchcraft everywhere. The power of the evil one was at work all across the land. Everything that Abinadi said would happen came true. Everything Samuel the Lamanite said also came true.

Sorcery, witchcraft, and dark magic appeared everywhere. Evil had power over the whole land. Everything Abinadi and Samuel the Lamanite had warned about was coming true.
