Jacob 5:59

—And this I do, that perhaps the roots thereof may take strength, because of their goodness; and because of the change of the branches, that the good may overcome the evil;

“I do this so the roots might get strong because they are good. When the branches are changed, the good can beat the bad.”

“I’m doing this so the roots can draw on their own goodness and gain strength. And with this change of branches, the good may overcome the bad.”
