And it came to pass that the servant, sayeth unto his master, Is it not the loftiness of thy vineyard? Hath not the branches thereof overcame the roots, which are good? And because that the branches have overcame the roots thereof? For behold, they grew faster than the strength of the roots thereof, taking strength unto themselves. Behold, I say, Is not this the cause that the trees of thy vineyard hath become corrupted?

Changes

And it came to pass that the servant, sayethid unto his master,: Is it not the loftiness of thy vineyard? Hathave not the branches thereof overcaome the roots, which are good? And because that the branches have overcaome the roots thereof? For, behold, they grew faster than the strength of the roots thereof, taking strength unto themselves. Behold, I say, Iis not this the cause that the trees of thy vineyard hathve become corrupted?

Simple English

The servant said to his master: “Isn’t it the height of your vineyard? Haven’t the branches grown stronger than the roots, which are good? The branches grew stronger than the roots. They grew faster than the roots could support. They took strength for themselves. Isn’t this why your vineyard trees have gone bad?”

Paraphrase

The servant said to his master, ‘Isn’t it because of the height of your vineyard? Haven’t the branches overtaken the roots, which are good? The branches have overcome the roots because they’ve grown faster than the roots could sustain them. They’ve taken all the strength for themselves. Isn’t this why the trees in your vineyard have become corrupt?’
