But behold, the servant sayeth unto him, Let us prune it, and dig about it, and nourish it a little longer, that perhaps it may bring forth good fruit unto thee, that thou canst lay it up against the season.

Changes

Simple English

The servant said to him: “Let’s trim it and dig around it. Let’s feed it a little longer. Maybe it will make good fruit for you. Then you can save it for later.”

Paraphrase

But the servant said, ‘Let’s prune it, dig around it, and nourish it a little longer. Maybe it will produce good fruit you can harvest.’
