and there were others which said, Behold, he is a god, for except he was a god, he could not know of all things. For behold, he hath told us the thoughts of our hearts, and also hath told us things; and even he hath brought unto our knowledge the true murderer of our Chief Judge.

Simple English

Others said: “He is a god, for unless he was a god, he could not know all things. He has told us the thoughts of our hearts, and he has told us things. He has even revealed to us the true murderer of our chief judge.”

Paraphrase

Others said, “He must be a god! No one but a god could know everything like that. He told us what we were thinking in our hearts. He revealed things to us. He even showed us who really murdered our Chief Judge.”
