And it came to pass that they became exceeding rich, both the Lamanites and the Nephites; and they did have an exceeding plenty of gold, and of silver, and of all manner of precious metals, both in the land south, and in the land north.

They became very rich, both the Lamanites and the Nephites. They had lots of gold, silver, and all kinds of precious metals. This was true in both the south land and the north land.

Both peoples grew incredibly wealthy. Gold, silver, and precious metals of every kind filled both the southern and northern lands.
