And now my sons, behold, I have somewhat more to desire of you, which desire is, that ye may not do these things that ye may boast, but that ye may do these things to lay up for yourselves a treasure in Heaven, yea, which is eternal, and which fadeth not away; yea, that ye may have that precious gift of eternal life, which we have reason to suppose hath been given to our fathers.

Simple English
My sons, I have more to ask of you. Don’t do these things to brag. Do these things to save up treasure in Heaven. That treasure lasts forever and never goes away. Then you can have the precious gift of eternal life. We think our fathers received this gift.
Paraphrase
“Now, there’s something more I want from you: don’t do these things to show off. Do them to store up treasure in heaven—treasure that lasts forever and never fades. Do them so you can have the gift of eternal life, which we believe was given to our ancestors.”
