Helaman 4:26

For behold, they saw that the strength of the Lamanites was as great as their strength, even man for man. And thus had they fallen into this great transgression; yea, thus had they become weak, because of their transgression, in the space of not many years.

They saw that the Lamanites were as strong as they were, man for man. This is how they had fallen into great sin. They had become weak because of their sins. This happened in just a few years.

They realized the Lamanites were now just as strong as they were—man for man. That’s how far they’d fallen. In just a few short years, their rebellion had made them weak.
