And in the fifty and first year of the reign of the Judges, there was peace also, save it were the pride which began to enter into the church; not into the church of God, but into the hearts of the people who professed to belong to the church of God;

Simple English

In the fifty-first year of the judges’ rule, there was peace too. But pride began to enter the church. It did not enter God’s church itself. It entered the hearts of people who said they belonged to God’s church.

Paraphrase

In the fifty-first year, there was peace as well—except for the pride beginning to creep into the church. Not into God’s church itself, but into the hearts of people who claimed to belong to it.
