And now I return again to mine account; therefore what I have spoken had passed after there had been great contentions, and disturbances, and wars, and dissensions among the people of Nephi.

I will return to my story. What I have said happened after there had been great fights, troubles, wars, and disagreements among the Nephites.

But now I’m returning to my main story. What I’ve just described happened after major conflicts, upheavals, wars, and divisions among Nephi’s people.
