Helaman 12:18

And behold, if a man hideth up a treasure in the earth, and the Lord shall say, Let it be accursed, because of the iniquity of him that hath hid it up, behold, it shall be accursed;

If a man buries treasure in the earth, God can curse it. He might curse it because of the evil of the man who hid it. When he curses it, it becomes cursed.

If someone hides treasure in the earth, and the Lord says, “Let it be cursed because of the wickedness of the one who hid it,” then it’s cursed.
