And it came to pass in the eighty and fifth year, they did wax stronger and stronger in their pride, and in their wickedness; and thus they were ripening again for destruction.

In the eighty-fifth year, they got more and more proud. They got more and more evil. So they were getting ready for destruction again.

In the eighty-fifth year, they became even more arrogant and evil. They were ripening for destruction all over again.
