Ether 9:14

And it came to pass that Omer began to be old; nevertheless, in his old age he begat Emer; and he anointed Emer to be king to reign in his stead.

Omer got old. But in his old age he had a son named Emer. He made Emer king to rule in his place.

Omer grew old, but even in his old age he had a son named Emer. He crowned Emer king to rule after him.
