Ether 6:19

And the brother of Jared began to be old, and saw that he must soon go down to the grave; wherefore he saith unto Jared, Let us gather together our people, that we may number them, that we may know of them what they will desire of us before we go down to our graves.

The brother of Jared grew old. He saw that he would soon die. So he said to Jared, “Let us gather our people together. We can count them. We can find out what they want us to do before we die.”

The brother of Jared grew old and knew his time was short. So he said to Jared, “Let’s gather our people together and count them. We should find out what they want from us before we die.”
