Ether 13:2

For behold, they rejected all the words of Ether: for he truly told them of all things, from the beginning of man; and how that after the waters had receded from off the face of this land, it became a choice land above all other lands, a chosen land of the Lord; wherefore the Lord would have that all men should serve him, which dwelleth upon the face thereof;

The people rejected everything Ether said. He told them about all things from the beginning of man. He told them how after the waters went down from this land, it became the best land of all lands. It was a land the Lord chose. So the Lord wanted all people who lived on it to serve him.

They rejected everything Ether told them. He had explained history from the very beginning—how after the flood waters receded from this land, it became the finest place on earth, a land the Lord had chosen. The Lord wanted everyone living here to serve him.
