Ether 11:13

And it came to pass that the people hardened their hearts, and would not hearken unto their words; and the prophets mourned and withdrew from among the people.

The people made their hearts hard. They would not listen. The prophets were very sad and left the people.

The people’s hearts turned hard. They refused to listen. The prophets, heartbroken, withdrew from the people.
