Enos 1:3

behold, I went to hunt beasts in the forest; and the words which I had often heard my father speak, concerning eternal life, and the joy of the saints, and the words of my father, sunk deep into my heart.

I went to hunt animals in the forest. The words I had often heard my father say about eternal life and the happiness of God’s people sank deep into my heart.

I was out hunting in the forest when my father’s words came flooding back—all the things he’d said about eternal life and the joy God’s people find. Those words went deep.
