And it came to pass, that after I had prayed, and labored with all dilgence, the Lord said unto me, I will grant unto thee according to thy desires, because of thy faith.

Simple English

After I had prayed and worked hard, the Lord said to me, “I will give you what you ask for because of your faith.”

Paraphrase

After I’d prayed and labored with everything in me, the Lord said, “I’ll give you what you’re asking for. Your faith has earned it.”
