Alma 9:28

therefore prepare ye the way of the Lord, for the time is at hand that every man shall reap a reward of their works, according to that which they have been: if they have been righteous, they shall reap the salvation of their souls, according to the power and deliverance of Jesus Christ; and if they have been evil, they shall reap the damnation of their souls, according to the power and captivation of the Devil.

“So prepare the way for the Lord. The time is close when every person will get a reward for their works. This will be based on what they have been. If they have been good, they will get salvation for their souls. This comes through the power and saving work of Jesus Christ. If they have been evil, they will get punishment for their souls. This comes through the power and control of the Devil.”

“So prepare the way for the Lord. The time is coming when everyone will be rewarded for their works, based on what they’ve been. If they’ve been righteous, they’ll receive salvation for their souls through Jesus Christ’s power and deliverance. If they’ve been evil, they’ll receive damnation for their souls through the Devil’s power and captivity.”
