Alma 7:3

And behold, I have come, having great hopes and much desire that I should find that ye had humbled yourselves before God, and that ye had continued in the supplicating of his grace, that I should find that ye were blameless before him; that I should find that ye were not in the awful dilemma that our brethren were in at Zarahemla;

I came here hoping you had made yourselves humble before God. I hoped you had kept asking for his help. I hoped you were good before him. I hoped you were not in terrible trouble like the people in Zarahemla.

I came hoping to find that you had humbled yourselves before God and continued seeking His grace—that you were living righteously and not struggling like our brothers and sisters in Zarahemla.
